Together We Ride - South London

TWR is a South London based community cycling initiative encouraging black men and women to cycle together. Inspired by the unity of the first annual BUBR, the founder Wayne decided to recreate the feeling of togetherness regularly!

TWR believe in promoting health, wellbeing and social connection through a shared love of riding.
Rides are led by a trained cycle leader and always include other experienced cyclists. TWR bring together cyclists of different abilities, ages and experience which is effective in helping learn more about road cycling, using bikes to explore and tips and tricks for getting around on your bike.

TWR host 3 rides per week during the cycling season.

Group Leader - Wayne

Wayne loves to cycle. He started in May 2020, motivated but his slipping mental health and weight gain, he decided he’d start cycling to add value to his life. Going out, seeing new places and exploring during the pandemic helped Wayne release the feelings of stress and pressure. Realising this, Wayne knew he had to share the experience with others from his community.

Wayne struggled to feel at home within the bounds of standard cycling clubs, especially as a novice, so after trying out a few that didn’t fit well, he created TWR - Together We Ride.

Wayne believed in creating a mixed ability cycling group that sometimes, breaks all the standard cycling rules in order to be inclusive and encourage a variety of people to participate. He is a caring and generous soul and he embeds that in the ethos of the group.

Girls Ride Out 2 - East London

Girls Ride Out 2 are an all girls group bringing together your die-hard fitness gals, newbie cyclista’s and regular road riders. Girls Ride Out was born from the marginalisation of women in male dominated cycling groups and has thrived as nurturing environment for women who want to cycle together.
